Halloween 2005

Ok, so I’m a little late updating this. Sorry. For this one, I turn over the blogging to Bobby Mullett of The White Leppard Crue…………..

Halloween weekend was a nutty one. It started with Stone Cold Fox on Asheville on Friday night. Pretty decent crowd. It was good to see Dave there. Seems like he has been working days for a while now. Also, seems like the OJ’s Dawg Pound was back in action. Haven’t seen them as much lately. So afterwards we headed back to the mountaineer for some shut eye. For anyone that doesn’t know, The Mountaineer is a historical landmark motel in Asheville. As far as a review of the place, well you should probably just check out hotel review sites on the web. This is OJ’s blog and we intend to keep it that way.

On Saturday morning, after visiting the local Waffle House, along with Johnny Angel, and Rick Lethal, Johnny and I hit the road for Greenville, SC. Not a bad ride. We got there checked in and then headed downtown to find a place to watch the Georgia/Florida game. Unfortunately the dawgs lost. That’s ok, they will still be SEC Champs at the end of the season. And the Gators will still be the SEC Chumps.

So usually, we load in to the wild wing around 8:30pm or so. That’s usually a good time cause the crowd hasn’t gotten there yet. And it gives us about 2 hours to get set up, grab a bite, and change before playtime. Well, we got there about 8:45 and it was slam packed! Apparently they started the costume contest a little early. Not only that but the Clemson game guys where on the stage broadcasting and we couldn’t get on the stage to set up. We finally were able to get up there around 9:30 and had to hustle getting set up. Luckily the management told to start a little late anyway since we were pushing forward on our clocks due to daylight wasting time change.

Once the show got going, Boogaloo came out rockin’. They started with a short version of Thriller. The crowd was into it and the party had begun. And once again, even the devilish Creeper showed up. (And as per her instructions, I must prove it with a picture).Simon had that crowd in the palm of his hands. I think a few people in the crowd thought that Semicolon was merely wearing a costume for Halloween. They didn’t really know that he is now Nigel “juicyfruit” Johnson.

At the break, they told us to hang out for a while and to take a longer break than normal while the DJ’s ran the costume contest.

Once the Crue came out, the real party started. Not only cause it was Halloween, and time change day. It was also Johnny Angel’s birthday. So with that we got the crowd to sing happy birthday to him. The DJ’s were tore up from the floor up. Because of the time change we ended up playing till almost 2:30 in the morning. The next day’s ride back to Atlanta was a bit rough. Oh well, so is the life of the Crue.

See ya soon,

Bobby Mullett

Semicolon has returned to his roots.

Looks like Semicolon has returned to his roots and gone back to using his name before he changed it. Ladies & Gentlemen, give it up for Nigel "Juicy Fruit" Reynolds.
