Malls & Darts

Alparetta Wild Wing 2/3 & 2/4/2006

This weekend found us at the Wing in Alpharetta, GA. Not as close to home as Suwanee, but the next best thing.

Friday was nuts. Stone Cold Fox was open for business and everybody knew it. Being the month of love, I thought I would bring out some of my bitches, so I brought the Orange Juliets with me, LaQuiesha Kaufman and Miss. Mary Mack. They danced all night. We even got LaQuiesha on stage to sing Last Dance with us. She rocked. I even think Rolo was worried about his job security after that one. Hahaha.

The bar was running a special on some new drinks that they added to their menu. Two drinks named after us, The Stone Cold Shot and the Electric UVBloo.

As the night progressed, Rolo and I had some ladies flashing us in hopes that we would let them wear our hats. They both got a negative from both of us, but they still flashed us anyway.

Looks like we got quite a few pictures that night, Mary Mack had her digital camera with her and she took a lot of snaps…both nights. Now if we can only get our webmaster on the ball and get him to finish the site, we’ll be in business. He and I are very close, so I think I might be able to kick him in the ass a little bit.

Saturday afternoon, I had to go to the mall to complete my 90’s costume. I was reminded of how much I hate malls, especially on Saturdays. The good side was that I got the rest of my costume. After that a handful of us met up at the Norcross Tavern, for some darts and nachos grande. That place is great. I really need to bone up on my dart skills. I used to be pretty damn good, now Jackie seems to own me in every game we play.

Saturday night all of us in the band met at the hotel across from The Wing in Jakie’s room and changed into our new 90’s costumes so we could take pictures. The photographer was none other than our boss, Jason, aka Lamont DiCarlo. Most of you probably know Jason as the lead singer for Slippery When Wet, The Ultimate Bon Jovi Tribute. In case you didn’t know, he is also our manager and boss. Jason also stuck around for the 1st Boogaloo set.

Speaking of which, the Boogaloo show went rather well. The mix seemed to be better than the night before, and that mix was right on time. Palmer is by far one of the coolest sound guys that we work with. It turns out that he recorded both nights, so I am looking forward to hear that. I think Chest Rockwell was able to get a copy of all of it before he left.

So other than hangin’ out at the wing both nights till all hours of the morning, that is about it. Next weekend we’re in Augusta. I won’t be there, but Freddie “Boom Boom” Washington will be there to keep the boys under control.

As far as the 90’s show goes, I will be posting something on that in the next couple of weeks. Our First show is in 3 weeks in Greenville, followed by a weekend in Alpharetta. Hope to see you then. And I hope to see you at the Stone Cold Fox show in Suwanee, in two weeks.

Later peeps!!

OJJ
