This weekend found us in
So both nights, the Wing was filled to capacity (according to the Fire Marshal) by 9:30. We don’t go on until between 10:15 and 10:30, so that was pretty cool. The crowd on Friday was bumpin’. The ladies were all lined up to catch a glimpse of the Fox. When it was time for Brick House the stage got packed tight and right.
I had some technical difficulties. We originally thought my wireless had bad batteries that were causing a very bad sound from my rig. So I started the 1st part of the show tethered to my amp. After about 5-6 months of wireless, I was not happy about that cord getting tangle up in my feet as I was trying to do the steps. Luckily on break, I was able to figure out that it was a cable not the wireless and I fixed it and I was back to no cord by the 2nd half.
Another lesson I learned that night is that when you order a bucket of Bud Lite, make sure you enunciate it perfectly. The waitress brought a Bud and a Bud Lite. OJJ does not like the taste of regular bud so much. Finally in the 2nd half we got it taken care of and I had a bucket at my feet in no time. Special thanks to Shelly for doing a great job taking care of us that night.
Saturday afternoon, Jackie Diamond and I went and had some Q at Fat Matt’s Rib Shack in Midtown. The entertainment that day was provided by Butch & Butch. Not bad, I really like the voice on one of the Butch’s. Jackie had never had Fat Matt’s so once he dipped some of the Wonder Bread into the sauce, he was done. That’s right Jackie had one of his famous “Pork Highs”. So with Jackie on the “Sauce”, we decided our best course of action would be to find a place where we could sit outside and drink beer. Being that it’s the middle of January, we couldn’t find such a place so we went to a little English pub in Norcross and drank beer and shot darts to get us in the mood to transform from Stone Cold Fox into Electric Boogaloo mode.
Saturday night the crowd was just as rowdy. Simon and his mates rocked the house as always. I also heard that Simon had some problems with biting from some ladies. Too bad Rolo wasn’t there, that is just up his alley. They were even able to convince Shannon and her crew to hang around for the rest of the night.
A couple of new songs were pulled out our collective butts that night. Hurt So Good – John Cougar Mellancamp and Faith - George Michaels. The second we did especially for Faith who was celebrating her birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY FAITH!
Special thanks to Spike from The Alternatives for coming out and hanging with us. Also special thanks Todd, Jeff, Susan, Robin, Nikki, Lisa, Kristen-Marie, and Beth for hangin’ out this weekend.
This coming weekend we will be in
With that I am also posting the myspace pages for the other bands. If you aren’t already a friend, please come by and add us to your friends list.
